Newfoundland and Labrador Blood Disorders Education Network

The goal of the Newfoundland and Labrador Brood Disorders Education Network is:

• To provide excellent education on disorders of the blood and immune in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
• To raise awareness of the known causes of cancer and immune disorders in this province.
• To improve outcomes for patients with disorders of the blood and immune system, ideally through education and translational research.
• To raise awareness of the impact these disorders can have on the lives patients and their loved ones.
• To raise awareness of the vital importance of high quality laboratory medicine and biological science to the quality of health-care.
• To begin to close the gap in resource allocation to academic adult clinical and laboratory hematology/oncology between the province of Newfoundland and Labrador and the province of British Columbia in Canada. Hence, to improve the care for patients and their families in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
