One of the challenges facing the myeloma patient community is the general lack of awareness of this relatively rare cancer. Consequently, many patients are not well-informed about the resources that are available to them and often feel alone in their battle. As a patient-driven, patient-focused organization, Myeloma Canada works with over a dozen local support groups across Canada, strengthening the voice of the Canadian myeloma community and improving the quality of life of myeloma patients, their caregivers and families.
Myeloma Canada is the only national organization that is uniquely devoted to the Canadian myeloma community. Our affiliation with the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF), the world’s oldest and largest myeloma patient organization, enables access to a global network of expertise and resources.
